Based on a number of Cinderella stories from Southeast Asia, this doll represents a longer version of the Cinderella tale. Just like Cinderella, she is a poor girl who, with the help of magic, meets and marries the prince. Unlike Cinderella, however, her story does not end there. For her stepmother and step sister are jealous and try to have her killed! To help the princess escape, turn her over to reveal the golden turtle that she turns into to swim away, and the blue bird she becomes to fly away, until they can catch her stepmother and stepsister, and she can finally live happily ever after! Approximately 12″ tall. As with all of my dolls, this is my own copyrighted pattern. She comes with her story in a small, handmade book.
